Jiraiya walked towards the Academy after visiting the Kage. He had given a few kids a couple of special lessons a few years ago and he decided to come back to assist in teaching them. I guess... a little break from searching wouldn't hurt. He thought as he slowly opened the gate to the academy. He sighed as he stood in the yard of the academy and looked around. He studied the building for a moment and then looked over at the courtyard. So... there's a place for their physical activities. He thought with a smile as he walked into the school opening the door and walking down the halls.
He spotted the class he was supposed to be teaching in and opened the door leaning against the frame in the door way. Wow... look at this dump. He thought with a chuckle as he stood straight and walked to the teacher's desk and dusted it off and made a few shadow clones and they started to dust off the other desks for the students.
"Well... at least I can get some work and planning done before they get here."
He said as he started to whistle a tune and bit his tumb scrolling through hand seals and set his hand down on the floor next to him. The formula appeared on the ground and he surged his chakra through his hand into a physical body.
"Kuchiyose no jutsu! Gama c'mon out!"
He said as the red frog appeared and looked at Jiraiya and looked to him and held a few papers as Jiraiya started his paperwork.

Kaya heard the rumors greatly. She was about to graduate (hopefully), and was excited. She had heard of the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, coming to the Stream Academy. She had prepared to meet Tsunade, one of her inspirations, but Jiraiya was just as good!
That's why she had gone to the Academy much earlier than the normal girls. She wore her mother's Ninja Headband in her hair, her blonde curls blowing about as she sat on the monkey bars. Her purple outfit was easy to spot, although the morning sunlight sort of hid her. Kaya gasped when she saw Jiraiya.
"He looks so cool!" her tiny voice piped out, a smile on her face. She hopped down, her left arm at a jagged angle. She ran, and paused at the doorway, peeping about the frame. Her mouthed formed into an 'O' as she watched the shadow clones. She giggled, and tried to form the hand signs like him, but her arm wasn't moving very well today.
That's when she saw the frog. She blinked, and rushed in, ignoring Jiraiya. What kind of Jutsu was that? It made a frog appear?
"Is it real? Wow! A real froggie! In the classroom! Totally cool! I wish I could do something like that! But the hand signs looked so hard...my arm won't let me..." Kaya's voice quieted. She straightened up at the realization of being in the same room as a Sannin. "Oh...oh Kami! Jiraiya-sama! So sorry!"
Kaya turned around, her pale skin in a red tint as she bowed several times in apologies. She bowed her head low, revealing the sign of the Metal village on her head. Her mother wasn't from the Stream like her father...
"I-I should go...I came too early today...I was excited to hear a Sannin was coming to our class today..."

Jiraiya looked up through his silver bangs and looked at the girl at the door as his clones and Gama continued to work. He shook his head and looked at her.
"No problem. Come on in, you're here now."
He said as he noticed her trying to do the hand seals of the jutsu that he had did. He sghed and looked at her arm and knew immediately that she was at a slight disadvantage to the other shinobi and kunoichi that were in the academy. He looked at the clones and saw that they had the desks cleaned completely and the classroom looked brand new.
He put his hands in a hand seal and uttered a small chant as the clones disappeared and Gama walked back over to Jiraiya and croaked once before it disappeared in a puff of smoke and he grinned as he looked up at the girl standing up a little and walked by the window frame and leaned against it.

"I-I can!?" Kaya said excitedly, and smiled. She walked towards the frog, but she jumped with a tiny squeal as it disappeared. She turned to look at the Sannin, and saw him grinning at her. She gave a young, childish grin back. She was missing one of her front teeth. "I just lost this tooth yesterday! Papa said that a magical fairy's gonna come and give me some yen! But...the magical fairy didn't come...Papa said that she was broke..."
It was true. Her father was having a hard time with his kunai shop. Several of the machines had broken down, and they had to shut down for awhile as well. She sat down at one of the tables and pulled out a book, with difficulty due to her arm, and sighed.
"Oh! I'm Kaya Emi! That's my whole name! Mama named me that before she died...I miss my Mama. I never knew her, but that's where the Metal headband came from. She was a Metal Kunoichi. She and Papa met each other on a combined mission. Isn't that cool? Two villages, working together!"

Jiraiya looked at the girl and sighed as she explained about her mother and father and how they met through a joint mission and how she was so impressed by a joint mission between two villages. He looked at the girl and shook his head to her question. He wasn't going to sugar coat it. He's seen the village and they're potential shinobi and kunoichi and decided to make sure they were prepared for everything.
"Its not too impressive. During times of peace or war joint missions aren't uncommon. I've been on five myself."
He said as he rubbed the back of his head and looked at the papers and sighed. There are still a couple that need to come. He thought as he looked out the window seeing the sun start to come from behind the clouds beaming into the classroom and onto the wooden floors and desks, reflecting a little off of the metal legs of the chairs.
He looked back to the girl with a smile. He decided to give her a small test on how much she already knew about the life of shinobi and would decide on how much review he'd have to do with her and how soon they could get to the actual lessons.
"So... Kaya Emi right? I'd like to get to know about how much you know of the life that you are putting yourself into. Do you know the basic three styles of shinobi?"

Kaya blinked at Jiraiya's comment. Her blue eyes showed confusion as she sat at a desk, her feet dangling about half a foot above the floor. She was a short one, to say the least. Her blonde bangs covered her eyes as she tilted her head.
"Uncommon? But...I'm only twelve, so I wouldn't know! But thanks, Jiraiya-sama!" Kaya grinned, giggling. She stopped giggling when she heard a few laughs coming from the school entrance. She frowned. The popular Kunoichi-in-Training that teased her about her arm. Luckily, they didn't come to this building. They were outside, waiting.
When Kaya saw Jiraiya smiling at her, she smiled, giggling, her eyes closed. When he repeated her name, she nodded with excitement. He remembered her name! That was a plus! Yet when he asked the question, her eyes popped open, and she blinked at him.
"You serious? It's Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu. If that's what you are asking for, to say the least. I'm better at Taijutsu with my legs, not with my arms. I'm also good at using Water Jutsus...a definite plus with my ice kunai! If I could get it to work again..." Kaya looked down sadly.

Jiraiya looked at her for a moment as he rubbed his chin and sighed as a puff of smoke appeared as the medium sized red bullfrog appeared next to him with three scrolls in his hand. Jiraiya grabbed one of the scrolls and let it hang from the wall. When it unrolled it revealed a picture of the human body. He sat in the chair and leaned back in his chair.
"Well... next lesson. Chakra. Can you point out where most of your chakra is stored?"
He said as he grinned petting his toad's head and looking from her and the poster and yawned as he waited on her.

Kaya yipped as the toad appeared. She looked at the scroll of the human body, and stood up, tripping slightly over her own feet. She used her bad arm, and began to point, but pulled it back, wincing in pain.
"Umm...uh...Sensei taught us this...I can't believe I didn't listen that day...she said it was going to be on the exa- oh! Wait! That's right!" Kaya giggled, and began to point towards the stomach. She looked at Jiraiya, a tiny frown on her face. "Is that right? Like a pool of energy?"
Oh, I'm such a dunce...

Jiraiya looked at the girl and nodded as he looked at the poster and looked over it and thought to himself. Now what... oh yeah. He looked to her again with a smirk on his face and scratched his neck.
"So... do you know how many points can chakra escape through?"

"Yeah!" Kaya jumped up and down, glad she got it right. She then stopped jumping at the next question, her eyes wider than ever. She put a finger to her lips, and went 'Uhmmmm....' then raised a finger, but put it back to her lips in a long thought.
Let's see... Kaya thought, now biting on her lip.
"Oh! Oh! Exactly three hundred and sixty-one points on the body!" Kaya repeated like she remembered it from a textbook. She gave a grin to Jiraiya, giggling. "Did I get that right, too, Jiraiya-sama?"

Jiraiya nodded slowly to her. Hm... seems like this years genin might not be as idiotic as they were during the war seeing as Stream took some of the highest in the death count. He thought as he nodded one last time and then looked at the poster.
"Now tell me... where are the eight chakra gates."
He said. He knew that students would at least know where two were if they were taught at home but he knew they wouldn't know the half of what they could do with them. He looked at the poster and marked them in his mind quickly and looked back to her to respond to his request.

Kaya stopped dead. She didn't know anything about chakra gates. Not a single thing. She looked down at her feet, a look of saddness upon her face. Her mother had been an expert, or so she had heard from a few family friends. But now it was completely different, and she hadn't heard anything else.
"Jiraiya-sama...I-I don't know..." Kaya murmured, looking up slightly. "I-I was never taught...not even by Papa. He said it reminded him of Mama too much...she knew a lot about chakra gates...C-Could you teach me?"
Kaya's eyes looked saddened as well. She clearly she didn't like to be left out with knowledge. She really wanted to know. It could help save her and a fellow Genin's life someday on a mission.

As I thought... its to be expected. He shook his head to her question. She was nowhere near experrienced enough to know about the gates and if he told her anything about them it'd be extremely vague so he just decided not to worry about it.
"Don't worry yourself with them. They're too advanced for a student."
He said as he motioned Gama over and took one of the scrolls taking the first one down. He looked at the scroll and un rolled it and hung it on the wall as well. He looked at it as it showed three diagrams. One of a kunai, one of a shuriken and one of an exploding tag. he looked to her and smirked.
"Which one of these is hardest to use in your opinion?"
He asked ready to see which area she needed to be trained in. He would continue to ask irrelevant questions and just evaluate her on her answers.

"Okay!" Kaya became happier all of a sudden, and smiled, looking up at him with her bright, blue eyes. She laughed at the toad, reaching up with her good arm and patting him on the head. "He's cute!"
Kaya looked at the scroll as it opened, and she frowned. Which one was the hardest to use? In her opinion? She looked up at him, and then looked at her arm. That was her writing hand, too, so things were painful for her.
"All of them..." Kaya murmured. "Because of my arm...but exploding tags are probably easier for me to use. It's shuriken and kunai I have so much trouble with...because you sometimes have to throw them, Jiraiya-sama. I can barely lift my arm without causing pain to all my joints. I'm not good enough to get to the Kunoichi level I want to get to. But, Papa says I'll outgrow it. Are you going to help me with that? Help me use those?"

Jiraiya looked at the girl and then back at the scroll. He sighed as he saw Gama flinch under her touch and croak at her. Jiraiya continued to read through the papers and saw a name that he had known. So... he's here this year too huh? He thought as he ran his hand through his hair and looked at Kaya.
"I don't know Kaya... I'll help you with shuriken use but you need to have something done about that arm. Have you had anyone try to use a medical jutsu?"
He asked looking at the arm that wasn't on Gama's head. That must be it. He thought as he examined it himself and tried to think if he knew any healing jutsu.
